About the Texas Spatial Accomplishment Reporting System

Reporting and tracking information is important to any organization. This is true for the Texas A&M Forest Service. Whether it is for meeting requirements of USDA Forest Service grants, reporting to the state Legislative Budget Board (LBB) through the Automated Budget and Evaluation System of Texas (ABEST), or for simply providing TFS Leadership a way to track the accomplishments of field personnel, reporting is necessary to TFS to ensure we are accomplishing our mission.

The Texas Spatial Accomplishment Reporting System, or TexSARS, is an interactive web application used by field personnel to document their activities and accomplishments for the Forest Resource Development & Sustainable Forestry programs within the Texas A&M Forest Service. TexSARS allows for the capture of accomplishments spatially. Although some activities and accomplishments are sufficiently captured at the county level, some activities, such as Forest Stewardship Plans, must be reported as specific locations on the ground. TexSARS allows this.
